For many families, Colombia is not the first place they consider. It becomes the place where the numbers finally align, the legal framework supports their needs, and a realistic path to parenthood emerges. CanBaby Surrogacy operates as an English-language medical advisory platform, focused on clearly defined IVF and surrogacy pathways within Colombia.

What We Help You Price Out
For the Colombian clinic and its local partners, CanBaby Surrogacy helps families understand the full picture, these items are already considered within your selected package unless otherwise discussed.
Clinic and hospital fees
Consultations, procedures, monitoring, laboratory work (IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, PGT-A when used), and freezing where applicable.
Surrogacy-related costs (when surrogacy is part of the plan)
Surrogate screening, compensation within local law, pregnancy monitoring, and routine birth-related care at the designated hospital.
Legal and documentation costs
Contracts in Colombia, parentage and birth documentation, and support from lawyers experienced with international intended parents.
Travel and daily-life expenses
Flights, accommodation, ground transport and living costs during key stages in Colombia (for example, embryo transfer or birth).
“What if” scenarios
Additional embryo transfers, pregnancy complications, NICU care, extended stays, or repeating parts of treatment if needed.
Families see these elements as a structured outline, instead of one single number with unclear details behind it.
Fertility and surrogacy decisions are emotional — but the primary source of anxiety for most intended parents is not cost. It is uncertainty.
Families are rarely afraid of clear, honest numbers. What they fear are shifting budgets, undefined add-ons, and expenses that appear only after decisions are already underway — often justified later as unavoidable.
Our approach is built around a single, medically structured framework with clearly defined clinical pathways — rather than multi-country arrangements or headline pricing that obscures downstream realities.
Each pathway is medically mapped first, then priced accordingly. This allows for:
- A realistic cost range grounded in individual medical context, not generalized averages
- Explicit distinction between what is included and what may require additional expenditure
- Clear alignment between medical steps, expected timeline, and financial planning
The objective is not to make surrogacy appear inexpensive. It is to make the process predictable, interpretable, and grounded in medical reality.
By operating within one unified clinical framework, costs are listed transparently by pathway. This enables intended parents to understand what they are paying for, why each component is required, and where reasonable variability may occur — before commitments are made.
How the Payment Stages Typically Work in Colombia
Payments are structured in stages and aligned with key medical and program milestones, ensuring clarity and predictability throughout the process. A typical journey follows milestones such as:
Contract and program enrolment
Initial commitments and clinic deposits once intended parents decide to begin.
Donor or treatment confirmation
Fees related to donor selection, medical planning or cycle preparation.
Embryo transfer stage
Payments tied to laboratory work, transfer procedures and associated clinical care.
Early pregnancy confirmation
Scheduled payments upon confirmed progression in early pregnancy.
Later-stage pregnancy milestones
Payments connected to second- or third-trimester care, monitoring and preparation for birth.
All payments are made directly to the Colombian clinic or authorised local partners
